ABOUT US
OUR PROGRAM
Brechdan’s focus is on producing healthy, excellent tempered Cardigans for show, sport, and of course, as excellent family pets. All my dogs are health tested to CHIC standards or beyond. I participate in everything from dog shows and rally obedience to scentwork, fastCAT, and assorted non-AKC “fun sports”.
I am a member of the Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club; Responsible Dog Owners of Maryland; and of the AKC Bred With H.E.A.R.T program.
Brechdan is located in central Maryland, USA, but don’t let distance stop you from reaching out to me – even if I’m “far away”, I can help connect you to breeders in your area.
THE HUMAN
I’m Jules, the human behind the dogs. I use he/they pronouns. I grew up in northern Maine with a dog, a cat, reptiles, tropical fresh and salt water fish, and a small Amazonian jungle’s worth of parrots, amongst other animals. I’ve always loved dogs, and became obsessed with Cardigans after seeing a TV show about them in the mid 2000’s. In 2018 I reached out to a breeder asking, essentially, for “baby’s first sport dog, and also I’d like to learn to show, if it’s okay with you.” That dog was Prin, who changed my life, and I haven’t looked back since.
Outside of dogs and animals generally my interests include sewing and quilting, knitting and crochet, spinning, visual art, cooking, gardening and houseplants, PC gaming, and Disneyana. I hold an AAS in accounting and currently work in the pet industry.
